Our Mission Statement

The Alabama Association of Health Plans (AAHP) seeks to improve the health and well being of Alabama's consumers by: 

• Promoting cooperative efforts among health plans, allied industries, marketing organizations, providers and consumers to enhance available healthcare quality and value;

• Advocating for interests of health plans and their enrollees on legislative and regulatory issues;

• Informing policy makers, business leaders and the public about benefits of a broad competitive environment from which to select health benefit options; and

• Nurturing innovative, market-driven solutions to accomplish these ends.
