Associate Membership is encouraged for organizations not licensed
as health plans, but which share a keen interest in the changing
Alabama health care industry, and support the
AAHP Mission Statement.
Associate Member Benefits
- Opportunities to enhance knowledge and understanding of the
unique challenges faced by the modern healthcare industry.
- Attendance, participation and networking opportunities at each
AAHP Quarterly meeting.
- Complimentary registration to AAHP's Annual Conference, which
includes professional seminars, general sessions, and
networking opportunities in a casual atmosphere.
- Attendance at AAHP's mid-season Legislative Update, providing
an opportunity to learn about legislation pending before the
Alabama Legislature and what AAHP's position is on pending bills.
- Attendance at AAHP's annual Regulatory Implementation Seminar,
providing and update on newly enacted legislation and other rules
affecting health care plans, and the opportunity to ask questions
of staff representing Charter Members and Alabama regulators
regarding compliance and implementation issues.
- Opportunity to sponsor educational presentations and to
provide promotional materials to a target audience.
Associate membership is $5,000 per year.

Administrative Support:
Companies which provide value-added administrative support
products and/or services facilitating efficient health care
delivery, e.g. companies providing third party administration
services, stop-loss and health liability coverage providers,
pharmacy benefit management companies, single-specialty
carve-out systems, independent practice associations and
preferred provider networks.
Membership dues of $5,000 Annually
Clinical Support:
Companies which provide value-added clinical, pharmaceutical
and/or decision-making support to health delivery systems e.g.
pharmaceutical companies, utilization review organizations,
and disease management service providers.
Membership dues of $5,000 annually.
